Event held to raise funds for Freedom Feet Academy
An event aimed at raising funds for the Freedom Feet Academy was held at Montana Value Centre on Saturday.
A charity event, Flip for Freedom Throwdown, held at Montana Value Centre on Saturday attracted over hundred residents from around Montana and neighbouring surburbs.
Organiser, Chantel Hart said the objective of the event is to raise funds for Freedom Feet Academy, a centre that teaches youth break-dance class.
“We want to encourage and support them to continue doing the good work that they are doing of turning the lives of young people, some of who have drug problems, around,” said Chantel.
Freedom Feet Academy is a centre for those who are broken and entangled in addiction and life’s circumstances.
“We are a team of young people who represent Jesus Christ through our gifts and talents,” said founder Luan Fourie.
Spectators were entertained with a number of activities such as dance, music, tyre flipping and many others.
“Our focus is showing the youth how to structure their chosen paths as well as teaching them not to be held back by past mistakes, by setting and achieving their goals and breaking the chains that are holding them,” said Fourie.
