Pta North drug bust

The Pretoria North police have once again cleared the streets of criminals, arresting four men for possession of drugs over the past few days.

Nearly R1 350 worth of drugs was confiscated over the weekend by vigilant Pretoria North police.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Rebecca Phatlane said on Tuesday four men were arrested in separate busts for possession of drugs.

Two men aged 24 and 35 were arrested on Friday for possession of dagga. “A third man was arrested at 14:25 for possession of dagga in Springhaas Street, Theresapark.” She said the man had almost 160 grams of dagga in his possession.

A fourth man was also arrested for possession of drugs at 08:00 on Tuesday in Daan de Wet Nel Road in Pretoria North. The police confiscated drugs to the value of R300.

She said police apprehended the man in a routine stop and search patrol in the area.

All four men appeared in the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court.
