Two men flee with stolen petrol

Two men are at large after they fled with stolen petrol at a Rosslyn petrol station earlier this week.

Two men stole litres of petrol from a Rosslyn fuel station this week.

Total service station owner Danie Joubert said a closed circuit television camera captured footage of two men arriving on Monday night in a Toyota Corolla with no registration plates.

One was behind the steering wheel while the other stepped out of the car and asked the petrol attendant to fill up their jerry cans.

“They asked for two 25 litre jerry cans to be filled up. The one guy, who can be seen on camera, jumped back in the car and they drove off,” Joubert said.

The men got away with fuel of about R700, and theft charges had been laid.

Joubert urged anyone with information on the matter to call the fuel station on 012-541-1800.

Comment from the police could not be obtained immediately.
