Cops hunting for wanted man
A man is wanted after he failed to reappear in court in March on charges of suspected stolen property.

The Brooklyn police are searching for a man who skipped bail in March this year.
Spokesperson Captain Colette Weilbach said the 40-year-old Kirwin Cowen Arendse was arrested last year after he was found in possession of a laptop and a vehicle believed to have been stolen.
“On 19 September 2014, police on patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle speeding away from the Menlo Park Primary School. A chase ensued and the police crashed into the suspects’ vehicle in Hazelwood,” she said.
“A laptop that was reported stolen was found inside the suspects’ vehicle. The Brooklyn police immediately arrested Arendse and a second suspect.”
Weilbach said Arendse appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on 14 February this year.
“He was granted bail and the matter was postponed. Arendse did not turn up for his next court appearance in March and a warrant for his arrest was issued by the court.”
Arendse’s partner was on trial for being in the possession of suspected stolen goods and negligent driving.
She urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of Arendse to call investigating officer Warrant Officer Garry Morwamoche on 072-995-8092 or the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111.
