What is Cupcakes of Hope
Cupcakes of Hope, a non-profit company that provides funding and assistance to children with cancer, is hosting their fourth annual National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer on 26 September. Help them make a change in a sick child’s life.

Childhood cancer is devastating. It’s something no parent would wish on their greatest enemy, but, sadly, something many in South Africa and across the capital city are dealing with.
However, help is at hand.
Cupcakes of HOPE, a non-profit company that aims to raise awareness and funds for families in need of medical assistance, is spreading the love through their love of cupcakes.
They host several events throughout the year, but their main event is National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer, which is set to be held on 26 September this year. This is an entirely community-driven project and an amazing event that brings the whole community together for a great cause – fighting childhood cancer and, of course, cupcakes.
There are a number of ways to get involved:
– Schools can register to support the cause and host their own Party of Hope.
– Businesses too can get involved by making the event a team-building exercise.
– Get your friends and family together and host your own Party of Hope, just for fun. Tea parties, bake-offs, decorating classes, hampers … the sky is the limit! All you need to do is sell the cupcakes, made with love, to help raise funds for the organisation.
Alternatively, you can bake away and then donate your Cupcakes of Hope to the organisation at one of the collection points set up at any of the participating malls. The Pretoria malls that are involved are: Atterbury Value Mart, Kolonnade Retail Park, Kolonnade Shopping Centre, The Grove and Woodlands Boulevard. Non-bakers can also get involved by volunteering on the day, or by donating products towards the day’s event.
Not much of a baker?
You can participate simply by buying a few of the cupcakes for sale as well! Last year’s event, the third annual Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer, took place at a whopping 55 malls across the country, raising R1,2 million for children with cancer.
