Gas thieves wanted
Two men wanted for stealing gas canisters in the east of Pretoria.
Two men who looted the Caltex garage are in contention for dummy of the month after being caught by CCTV cameras making their getaway.
The two stole eight gas canisters from a filling station in Constantia Park at 04:30 on 17 August.
Neil le Roux, manager of the Caltex said the men were caught on camera.
“One of the men, dressed in black, went inside the store and distracted the cashiers while another man in a grey hoodie started loading the gas bottles,” said Le Roux.
“The two men managed to load eight bottles in their car before making their getaway in a white Kia Picanto.”
The theft was reported to the Garsfontein police station, and anyone with information on the two men can phone them on 012-470-4200.
In April, two thieves were caught on camera after they stole a generator from outside the Baker’s Bin in Garsfontein. They were later caught by the police.
