A 19-year-old man is wanted for murder after he allegedly stabbed a 35-year-old man to death in Winterveldt.
A 19-year-old man is wanted for murder after he allegedly stabbed a 35-year-old man to death in Winterveldt.
Police spokesperson, Constable Petunia Chabangu said Karabo Tshegofatso Hood was thought to have had an “altercation” with Johny Khumalo (35) at a tavern after which he took out a knife and stabbed him in the chest.
Khumalo was murdered at Jones’ tavern on Friday 3 July around 10:30pm.
Police say Hood fled the scene and has not been arrested as yet.
“We are appealing to anyone with information that can lead to his arrest to contact us,” said Chabangu.
“We also appeal directly to the suspect himself to present himself at a police station so this matter can be dealt with,” she said.
Chabangu warned against confronting Hood as he was considered dangerous.
