Cable thieves once again left large parts of Centurion in the dark.
Residents of Eldoraigne, Wierda Park and Hennopspark were without power on Thursday morning.
Ward 69 Councillor Marietha Aucamp said the power outage started around 04:15.
“We have identified [the cause to be] cable theft at one of the substations, but we have dispatched a team to sort out the problem,” said Aucamp
“We do not know the extent of the damage and therefore cannot issue a conclusive time on when it will be repaired.”
Aucamp said the power was expected to be restored by 14:00 on Thursday.
