Curro Thatchfield raches out to Olievenhoutbosch

In addition, each grade 3 teacher received a mini library.

Pupils of Olievenhoutbosch Primary listened to a narration of a story on Monday, 24 August.

Curro Thatchfield partnered with Cape Town-based NPO Read to Rise to bring reading and fun to the pupils.

Through their generous sponsorship of three mini libraries and 120 Oaky and Sun books, Read to Rise was able to implement their interactive reading programme to learners in Grade 3.

The pupils listened to a lesson as well as a story where they eagerly participated.the cherry on top was when operational manager at Curro, Danie Van Schalkyk presented each learner with a copy of the Oaky and Sun books.

“It was a heart-warming experience and it was an honour for Curro Thatchfield to be involved in the project,” he said.

In addition, each grade 3 teacher received a mini library. The mini libraries contain 50 new English reading books for the learners to enjoy in class.
