Landlord arrested after shooting
A landlord has been arrested for shooting his tenant who he found with his daughter.
A 52-year-old landlord has been arrested for attempted murder after a shooting in the Lebanon area in Winterveldt.
He allegedly shot and wounded a tenant in the head for having an affair with his 14-year-old daughter, said Temba cluster police spokesperson Lieutenant Sarah Lesabane.
She said this happened on Thursday around 15:00 at the landlord’s house after he caught the two together inside the house.
The 25-year-old tenant was rushed to hospital.
The landlord was later arrested and a firearm was recovered on the scene of crime.
Lesabane said the landlord would appear in the Ga-Rankuwa Magistrate’s Court soon.
