Shooting residents scare off would-be robbers
Residents shoot at robbers when they try to rob fellow-resident at a complex.
Shots fired by residents thwarted a robbery attempt at a complex in Sinoville on Sunday evening.
Police cluster spokesperson Mirna von Benecke said this happened after a resident was almost robbed at the gate of the complex in Braam Pretorius Street.
“Shots between the would-be robbers and residents of the complex were fired.
Von Benecke said the culprits fled the scene when the shootout ensued.
No injuries were reported.
She said police were investigating.
