Projectiles found at a house in Pretoria North

Three projectiles were found at a Pretoria North home on Wednesday afternoon.

They were discovered by the owner of the house among pieces of scrap metal in the backyard.

According to a reliable source, the projectiles could have belonged to the previous owner of the house.

“It seems that two of the projectiles are not live but we are uncertain about the other one,” said the source.

The police and residents were by late afternoon waiting to hear from the bomb squad on the scene what was happening

Rekord reported in the past about a man whose face was blown up in Pretoria West at a scrap metal delearship when he tried to cut a projectile with a grinder.

The man lost his life while his co-worker was badly injured.

The projectile that claimed the man’s life was apparently from Phomolong informal settlement where there used to be a military shooting range.

Residents of the informal settlement have been finding projectiles in their vicinity and have been living in fear since.

Police could not give more information about the projectiles found in Pretoria North. More information on the story will follow later.
