Eerie tombstone discovered in the road

A spooky discovery was made when a tombstone of a man who died last year was found in the middle of the road in Sinoville.

The Sinoville police were trying to solve an eerie mystery after a tombstone of a man who died last year was discovered in the middle of a residential road in the north of Pretoria at the weekend.

The name Joseph Mabusa was written on the stone, with date of birth written as 04-09-1956 and 22-04-2014 as the death date.

Police spokesperson Mirna Von Benecke said the tombstone was found in Kei Avenue in Sinovlle.

She said there was no visible damage to the stone.

“We suspect it did not fall from a moving vehicle. We are not sure who it belongs to nor how it got there,” she said.

The tombstone was removed and held at the Sinoville police station.

Anyone with information on the tombstone should contact Captain Verster on 012 543 8815.
