Dead Eersterust woman identified
Police are hoping to catch the killer soon.

A young woman found dead in Eersterust two weeks ago has been identified, police said on Tuesday.
“She is a 26-year-old woman from Bronberg in Eersterust and her next of kin have been informed,” said Eersterust police spokesperson Constable Sam Shibambo.
He declined to name the woman, saying a police investigation into her death was continuing. Detectives were hoping to catch the killer soon.
The body was found in a stream in Nantes, a section in Eersterust.
Residents were present when the woman’s body was removed from the stream. Speculation was that she had been raped before her death.
Shibambo said a murder docket had been opened.
“A murder investigation is ongoing and police are hoping to make an arrest soon.”
