Teacher reportedly shot dead by her ex-partner in Atteridgeville on Tuesday afternoon.
A school teacher from Atteridgeville was reportedly shot dead on Tuesday afternoon in front of her pupils.
According to reports on social media the teacher was killed by an ex-partner.
The department of basic education confirmed on Wednesday that a shooting took place at a school in Atteridgeville but said it was still investigating the matter and would give more details later.
Atteridgeville police spokesperson Captain Thomas Mufamadi said police were not aware of the shooting.
“We will look into this and find out where it happened because we have nothing yet on our side.”
