More charges against illegal foreigners
Additional charges will reportedly be brought against three Zimbabweans, allegedly illegally in South Africa, who had allegedly embarked on a massive crime spree in the north of the city.

There was so much additional evidence against three Zimbabwean nationals – already allegedly charged with two murders committed in the north of the city – that more time was needed to investigate and process the matter.
Prosecutor Zacharia Mahlatji reportedly on Monday asked the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court for additional time to complete the indictments against Denford Nawazi (23), Rangarae Phiri (22) and Moses Ndlovu (23).
Mahlatji could not be reached for confirmation, but it was reported the three men had initially only been charged with the murders of Mlanda Mnguni in Doornpoort on 15 October and that of Marius Els in Bon Accord on 16 October.
The prosecutor however allegedly added additional charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition and the possession of suspected stolen goods against the three men – reportedly arrested on 16 October while allegedly on their way to commit another attack.
It was reported that since the arrest of the three men, the finger prints of Ndlovu had allegedly connected him to three other cases since 2010, including housebreaking and theft, robbery as well as theft out of motor vehicles in the Bon Accord and Onderstepoort areas.
It was reported that Mahlatji had told the court there were several ballistic and forensic reports, DNA results, photos and other testimony that still needed to be completed.
Phiri and Ndlovu reportedly indicated to the court they did not wish to apply for bail, but a bail application by Nawazi would be launched on Thursday.
Mahlatji reportedly told the court the state would oppose bail as the three men were allegedly illegally in South Africa and because the list of crimes against them was extensive.
It could not be established if the magistrate granted the state more time to investigate the alleged crimes against the men.
