More arrested after police officer’s murder
A fourth person has apparently been arrested, whilst the Poortman family grieve the loss of a husband and father.

A fourth man was arrested in connection to the hijack and murder of Captain Kenneth Poortman, according to Crime Stoppers International.
Yusuf Abramjee, global communications director of the group shared the latest news on social media after visiting Poortmans on Monday.
Abramjee and chairperson of the Gauteng Police Board, Andy Mashaile, paid their respects to the family at their home in Pretoria North.
Poortman was hijacked and murdered on Saturday, his body discovered on Sunday morning.
“His wife, Sergeant Ann Tina Poortman, a police spokesperson, was on duty and went to the scene, not knowing it was the body of her husband,” wrote Abramjee.
“She told me what happened. It’s devastating.”
Poortman leaves behind two children (aged six and eight).
“Ann has asked us to thank the public and the police for the many messages of support and assistance.”
Funeral arrangement are being finalised and it is expected that Poortman will be laid to rest in his hometown, Bloemfontein.
