A body of a man that was discovered east of Mamelodi on Christmas day, has yet to be identified.
Warrant officer Michael Mbewe asks the community to assist the police to identify the unknown man. He was found dead in the street in Marikana.
Police observed marks on the body which suggested the man was killed. Police interviewed several people around Marikana in an attempt to establish his identity but no one seemed to know him.
“It is alleged that the deceased, together with his friends had been drinking since Christmas eve in a tavern next to where his body was found. The men left the tavern early in the morning on Christmas day,” a police statement read.
