Whilst many are enjoying celebrations into the New Year, the SAPS and Metro will keep vigilant to ensure the safety of all.
Yesterday Lyttleton police arrested two armed robbers after they allegedly robbed a woman.
The two suspects, aged 33 and 36, were caught trying to escape through a bush. The Lyttleton task force, however, soon caught up to them.
They were arrested in possession of unlicensed firearm. The two might also be linked to several other cases of armed robbery around Lyttelton.
They are expected to appear in court soon.
Around Pretoria police units are deployed to keep a watchful eye on the last day of 2015.
In Marabastad Tshwane Metro confiscated a bunch of fireworks and reminded the public that the use of fireworks in residential/ or other areas where firework displays are not permitted, will not be tolerated.
