Positive results for Pretoria teams
Bulls and Tuks emerged victorious while 'Downs fall over the weekend.
Amatuks and Blue Bulls secured vital wins while Sundowns crumpled in Africa over the weekend.
University of Pretoria (Tuks) secured their fifth win of the football season in as many matches to climb into 14th on the Absa premiership log.
Tuks defeated Maritzburg United 4-2 at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday to secure a vital away win.
With six games to go this season, the Pretoria side has given themselves a fighting chance to survive relegation this season. They now trail 13th place Polokwane City by just three points and another win for Amatuks will see them getting closer to safety.
Sundowns on the other hand, went down 1-0 to AS Vita of the DRC on Sunday afternoon.
The Brazilians will get their chance of revenge when they host Vita in the second leg of the Confederation of African Football Championship League.
In SupeRugby Vodacom Bulls continued with their good start to the season by defeating the Kings on Saturday.
The Bulls brushed aside the Eastern Cape team 38-6, progressing to second in the Africa conference 1 table.
On Thursday, The Unlimited Titans defeated the Cape Cobras by 10 runs to claim the Sunfoil four-day cricket test series.
