NEWSFLASH: Murdered man found in cemetery

“Police were called and on arrival they found the man with a bullet wound to his head.”

A man was found dead in the Zandfontein cemetery in the west of Pretoria on Thursday morning.

Police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said the 60-year-old man had a bullet wound to the head.

He was found around 10:00.

The body was discovered by passers-by who noticed a white Nissan X-trail vehicle parked inside the cemetery.

“Police were alerted and on their arrival they found the man with a bullet wound to his head,” said Moloto.

A firearm believed to have been used in the man’s murder was found on the scene.

“The motive of the murder is still unknown. The name of the deceased will be withheld until the family was informed.”

Police were investigating.
