Two Hammanskraal bodies yet to be identified

The two men were found dead with gunshot wounds in the same week in Hammanskraal.

Two people found dead in separate locations in Hammanskraal are yet to be identified.

They were discovered in the same week, one on last Monday last week and the other on Saturday.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Sarah Lesabane said the man found on Saturday morning had a gunshot wound.

“He was found on the side of the road with a bullet wound in his upper body.”

Last Monday, police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi said a man in his late twenties was found dead along the railway line in Bosplaas.

Moremi said security guards patrolling the railway line came across the body.

“The deceased had a bullet wound in his upper body.”

Moremi said it appeared that the victim was shot in Carousel View and had crossed the railway line to Bosplaas, where he died.

“He managed to walk for about 10 metres before he collapsed,” said Moremi.

The motive for the killing was unknown.

Police were were investigating both killings.

“We appeal to residents to assist with information that could help us identify the bodies,” said Moremi.
