Police seize bags of dagga in Eersterus
Police seized bags of dagga valued at over R20 000 late on Thursday.
Bags of dagga of more than R20 000 were seized in Eersterust on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi said this happened when police responded to a call about a house robbery in Eersterust.
“We received a call that two unknown men had entered a yard where people are renting rooms. They broke into the rooms and attacked people,” he said.
“In one room the intruders found a lady sleeping, pointed a firearm at her and tied her hands. They took her plasma TV and an engagement ring.”
The two men entered another room and found bags of dagga.
“They took one of the bags and left. That was when the police were alerted, ” said Moremi.
“Police did a search and found more bags of dagga in one of the rooms.”
The occupant was not around.
“Police have returned to the address several times as the man is wanted in connection with dealing in dagga.
