Jewellery store robbers still wanted
“The group went into the store dressed very neatly – some were wearing suits.”
The eight armed robbers who held up a jewellery store in Pretoria East a few months ago, are still being sought by police.
The group robbed the store at Lynnwood Bridge shopping centre of cash and jewellery at the end of May.
Garsfontein police investigating officer Constable Given Holeni said the hunt for the seven men and a woman continued.
“The group went into the store dressed very neatly – some were wearing suits.”
Holeni said a few of the robbers asked one of the jewellery staff for assistance.
Seconds later more robbers entered the store and demanded valuables.
“They fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewellery.”
Holeni said a charge of business robbery was being investigated.
