Police nab two in stolen vehicle
“The officers soon discovered the vehicle was reported stolen in August from the Garsfontein area.”
Two men were arrested in possession of a stolen vehicle in Centurion on Friday morning.
Erasmia police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said Mooiplaats residents tipped the police off to the stolen vehicle during a random stop and search in the area.
“The community members said two men in a green Corsa Lite were driving around the area suspiciously.”
He said the officers immediately acted on the information. When they found it driving around Mooiplaats they stopped and searched the vehicle.
“The officers soon discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen in August, in the Garsfontein area.”
He said the men aged 25 and 46 were arrested and taken to the Erasmia police station.
A docket for motor vehicle theft was opened.
