Armed robbery at Castle Walk

"When the three suspects were on their way to pay me, they pulled a gun.”

Armed robbers hit a shop in Castle Walk shopping centre on Friday morning.

The robbery happened at around 10:00 at Castle Walk’s Hairextension Lounge in Erasmuskloof, in the south east of Pretoria.

After tying up a shop attendant at gunpoint the robbers fled with personal belongings and stock.

According to an employee, Mari Pfester, two men and a woman entered the shop to enquire about her products.

“I supply hair extensions to salons. When the three suspects were on their way to pay me, they pulled a gun,” Pfester said.

The robbers tied Pfester up, bundled her under a table and took off with stock and personal belongings.

Pfester said the robbers took off with all their stock, two laptops, her handbag and cellphone.

“We opened a case at the Brooklyn police station.”

Pictures of the robbers from the shop’s security cameras have been posted on Facebook with a request for anybody to come forward with information that could lead to the arrest of the robbers.

The police could not be reached for comment.
