Police are searching for four armed men who robbed a family yesterday morning in the east of Pretoria.
Four armed men burst into a house in Buffelsdrift-Bawrea, Kameeldrift during the early hours of Friday.
Police spokesperson Captain Johannes Maheso said the men stormed into the house and overpowered the homeowner.
“They grabbed him and tied his hands with cable ties,” Maheso said and added the men ordered the man to lie down.
“Two of the other suspects went through the house and brought the homeowner’s mother and wife to the room where he was held.”
The two women were also tied up and ordered to lie down.
The men took a television, DVD player, camera and four cellphones.
“Then they broke into the home office and stole three laptops, an external hard drive and another television. They also insisted on the keys of the safe, but it was empty,” Maheso said.
No one was harmed and the suspects fled in the homeowner’s Toyota RAV-4.
The police are investigating a case of robbery.
“No one has been arrested yet,” Maheso said.
