At least six crimes were committed in Centurion on Friday.

The Centurion Concerned Citizens (CCC) news roundup reported a variety of crimes on Saturday.

In a shooting on London Road, Mnandi no one was injured and suspects fled on foot towards Dam Road.

A woman said she was followed in Valhalla when she decided to make her way to the BP garage in Broadway Street where she waited for assistance.

Reaction unit members from the CCC and a security company vehicle escorted her home to the Reeds.

During the early hours of Friday morning there was an armed robbery in Valley Road, Mnandi.

Four BMWs were involved. The robbers tied up the victims and fled with electronic equipment.

There was no more information about a burglary in Saxby Road, Eldoraigne.

An unknown number of armed people were involved in trespassing in Erica Road, Clubview.

A Hornbill Street home in The Reeds was burgled of two televisions sets.

An unsuccessful car theft at the Lyttelton Manor animal clinic was reported. When doctors at the clinic realised what was happening, they ran outside, but the thieves were gone. The car they attempted to steal was an old shape City Golf.

CCC asked residents to get family, friends and neighbours to join them on Zello.

“The more eyes and ears working together, the safer Centurion will be for all of us,” the statement said.

Residents unfamiliar with Zello channels can call on their channel (between 07:00 and 21:00) and ask to speak to a moderator for trusted status.
