UPDATE: Woman recovering after robbery
Police say the identities of the two men have not been established yet.
A woman is still recovering after she was hit over the head during a house robbery in Laudium on Thursday morning.
The police have launched a man hunt for the two armed robbers who fled with several items from the scene.
“The men got away with items unknown to the police. The woman has been taken to hospital for medical attention.”
Poortman said a case of house robbery has been opened.
“Anybody with information that can assist the police in the investigation may call 08600 10111 or the anonymous crime line tip-off number 32211.”
Laudium residents have however, raised concerns about the police’s capacity to keep them safe after a string of robberies in the area.
A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Rekord the community had been traumatised by more than six robberies in a space of two months.
