The Mamelodi East police are looking for three men in connection with robberies.

The men are believed to be from their early 20s to mid-30s.

On 3 July, one of the men held up a delivery truck driver and his assistant before robbing them of an undisclosed amount of money.

Spokesperson, Captain Michael Mbewe said the man, believed to be aged between 25 and 35 years old, locked his victims in the back of the truck before fleeing.

On the same day, a man believed to be in his early 20s, armed with a gun, held up another man outside a BP petrol station in Mamelodi East and demanded his cellphone and money.

On 19 July, another of the men, and his four accomplices robbed a furniture shop.

“The man together with his four accomplice robbed a furniture shop in Mamelodi East,” he said.

They forced staff into an office, robbed them of their cellphones and also stole furniture before fleeing the scene.

Mbewe warned residents against trying to apprehend these men if they spotted them, asking them to rather notify the police.

“The men may be armed and dangerous,” said Mbewe.
