Man (57) arrested for killing his wife
Atteridgeville police arrested a man who is accused of killing his wife.
A man (57) has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife and daughter. The 38-year-old wife is dead and the daughter (21) is in Brits hospital.
Atteridgville police station spokesperson Captain Thomas Mufamadi said the man was arrested on Monday morning.
He said the daughter “was doing fine”.
The man allegedly took their eight-year-old son with him after the stabbing and later handed him to a family friend.
Captain Augustinah Selepe earlier said police responded to a complaint from Schurveberg near Atteridgeville at 04:00 on Sunday.
On arrival police found a dead white woman, covered with a duvet.
It was alleged she had been stabbed by her husband.
Captain Mufamadi could not say when the man would appear in court.
