Steve Hofmeyr’s son arrested for assault

We have been arrested by for doing our job and helping the police

Steve Hofmeyr’s son was arrested on Friday for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Devon Hofmeyr told Rekord on Saturday he could not discuss the merits of the case but felt that he was arrested for doing nothing wrong.

“What I can say is that we have been arrested by the police for doing our job and helping the police.”

According to reports, the controversial musician’s son and his colleague Nelus Goosen were arrested on Thursday after they had arrested and allegedly assaulted a drug dealer.

The two work for Bull security company.

They were released on R1 500 bail on Friday, according to reports.

Neither the police nor Bull security could not be reached for comment.
