Sport highlights 17 to 19 March
Another weekend of exciting sports action lies ahead for South African sport enthusiasts.
Rugby and cricket at different levels will again be the main attraction for local sports fans this weekend.

Cricket
The second Test between the Proteas and the Black Caps of New Zealand begin in Wellington on Thursday.
After the draw and narrow escape from Faf du Plessis and his men in the first Test, they will have to dig deep to continue their good performances in recent months.
The Titans dropped to third place on the log in the Momentum One-Day Cup and they cannot afford to lose again.
They will be involved in two games this weekend.
On Friday, they will cross the Jukskei river to meet the Highveld Lions at the Wanderers stadium in Johannesburg.
It is a day-night game and the action starts at 14:00.
On Sunday, the team will travel to Durban for a day game against the log leaders, the Dolphins.
This game will start at 10:00.

Rugby
Rugby fans will be able to support the Bulls and the finalists in the Assupol club series this weekend.
The Bulls will take on the Sunwolves, from Japan, at Loftus Versfeld on Friday.
The action will start at 19:00.
On Saturday, the finals in the Assupol club series takes place at Loftus Versfeld on the B and C fields.
The action starts at 13:00 with the u.21 games, while the main game of the day, between Quins-Bobbies and Naka Bulle, will start at 17:00.

Football
After the exciting action in the Nedbank Cup last week, we return to the Premier League this weekend.
Unfortunately, none of the local teams will be in action this weekend.
Local football fans will therefore have a chance to support local clubs in the lower leagues.
Athletics
Overkruin athletics club will present their popular Budget Insurance Kolonnade 3-in-1 road race for the third consecutive year this Saturday, at the Kolonnade shopping centre in Montana.
Runners have a choice between a 5km fun run, a 10km road race or a 21.1km half marathon with a scenic route through Montana park.
The start and finish will be at Kolonnade shopping centre.
The 10km and 21,1km races will start at 06:00, while the 5km fun run will start at 06:15.
Golf
This year’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, which started on Thursday at Bay Hill in Florida (USA), will be the first since the golfing legend passed away in September last year.
The tournament will be an emotional event this year and a statue of Palmer will also be unveiled.
Top South African players such as Ernie Els, Charl Schwartzel, Louis Oosthuizen, Retief Goosen, Brandon Grace and Trevor Immelman will all be in action at the tournament.
