The girls were ferried to the venue by limousine where they were “crowned” by the beautiful Miss SA Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters with a striking silver pendant and teddy bear from Mr SA 2016, Armand du Plessis.
“Community outreach is an integral part of our ethos at Varsity College. We are dedicated to instilling a sense of meaningful citizenship in our students. Events like Queen for a Day, give our students the opportunity to participate and reflect on the importance of giving back,” said Gaylene Oliver, vice principal student services at the college.
Dressed as royalty, with crowns and sashes, the girls had a photo session with the wonderful sponsors and celebrities.
