High tea for moms and teachers

"Grown out of a home in Jan Niemand Park, Vutlhari Learning Academy is a progressive nursery school," said a spokesperson for the creche.

A crèche in East Lynne recently celebrated its first birthday by hosting a function for mothers and teachers.

The high tea and spring festival was held to bring the ladies together and get motivational speakers to talk to them.

They shared some words of encouragement about issues affecting the community.

There were three motivational speakers who touched on several topics, seeking to ensure women understood their rights and responsibilities with regard to domestic violence and child abuse.

“Grown out of a home in Jan Niemand Park, Vutlhari Learning Academy is a progressive nursery school,” said a spokesperson for the creche.

“We have an intimate, stimulating and fun programme, guided by caring, passionate and enthusiastic teachers.”

“The teachers here are experienced and work in a variety of fields including health, sports, design and art.”

Guests included ward councillor Freddie Pienaar, Colleen Straus from the SAPS trauma unit and sister Melodi Ngcobo from Montana Netcare hospital.
