These drunk driver arrests take audacity to another level
As much as driving under the influence is prohibited, it is still a common offence amongst drivers. According to a report by the South African Government News Agency, over 200 people lost their lives during the Easter Weekend this year as a result of drunk driving.
Driving under the influence of alcohol is a major offence and a decision that puts your life, as well as those around you, in serious danger. It is something that MiWay takes very seriously indeed, but, let’s face it, when drunk drivers get pulled over and unconvincingly attempt to prove that they are sober (when they can barely stand up straight), it can be pretty hilarious. So, on that note, here is a list of some of the cheekiest drunk drivers. You can’t help but laugh out loud at and at the ridiculousness of their situation.
You’re a dancer? Nope, I’m just drunk.
This video starts off just like any other, with an officer putting the driver through his paces with the help of a variety of field sobriety tests.
She asks him to recite the alphabet backwards, and he does so rather effortlessly, leaving the officer slightly gob smacked.
From there, she decides to test his memory by teaching him some basic choreography, to which the driver adds a few rather impressive moves of his own. He is then asked whether or not he’s a dancer, and replies by jokingly saying ‘Nope, I’m just drunk.’
My wife is going to stab me in the face if I don’t get her another beer!
Claiming that his car broke down, this man thought it would be a good idea to drive his lawnmower to the store instead.
Completely drunk out of his mind, he tried to get some sympathy from the policeman by telling him that his wife told him that she would stab him in the face if he didn’t get her another beer.
More chaos follows from there… Trust us when we tell you that this man takes audacity to another level!
Running from the police won’t win you any friends
This driver shows exactly how fearless and dangerous one can be when drunk. In fact, the driver is so audacious that he reckons avoiding the cops who are trying to capture him results in a ‘Get Out of Jail Free’ card. Due to his reckless driving, it’s been reported that he caused over R 6 million worth of damages. Yikes!
Do you know how to blow a balloon?
If you can blow a balloon, you can blow into a breathalyser; it’s as easy as that. Well this driver clearly struggles to conceptualise that. Instead, he fails miserably at several attempts and surprisingly, the police officers have plenty of patience.
Falling at the final hurdle
Just when he is about to finish his field sobriety test, this man falls (literally) at the final hurdle.
We’re pretty sure he failed.
