A man was arrested on Wednesday afternoon by Lyttelton police for the possession of unlicensed firearms and a hijacked vehicle.
The suspect was nabbed during a joint operation between the SAPS and the Johannesburg metro police
Police spokesman Captain Dave Miller said an investigation would determine whether the suspect could be linked to other cases in Gauteng.

The suspect will appear in a magistrate’s court soon on a number of charges.
“We would like to thank everyone involved in the operation for their help,” said Miller.
