Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool celebrated its 98th birthday by reuniting the class of 1948.
The “boys” were excited to see each other again after such long time.

He said a lot had changed around the school and he that he could not even find his way without getting lost first.
The alumni, who are in their late eighties, said they still value the knowledge and wisdom that was instilled by the school.
The class of 1948 had 130 learners who all passed well, with one learner obtaining distinctions in all his subjects.
“Those days it was exceptional for a learner to get distinctions for all subjects, so we were all proud of our mate,” said Dr Rudolph Bigalke.
The 86-year-old alumni said what he remembered most about his high school days was being able to play rugby.
