Two men were arrested in Hammanskraal on Saturday for possession of a hijacked vehicle, unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The arrests followed a crime-intelligence operation by Hammanskraal police, said police spokesperson Sargent Margareth Molane.
The two men, aged 24 and 45, driving a white VW Polo Vivo were traced to Temba unit 7 and arrested. Police found an unlicensed firearm and ammunition during their search of the car.

The vehicle had been hijacked in Pankop, Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria.
The men will appear in the local Moretele Magistrate’s Court soon.
Meanwhile, Hammanskraal police launched a manhunt for the killers of a 26-year-old farm worker found dead at his home in Inderemine.
A neighbour found the man in a pool of blood and called the police, according to spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi.
“The farm worker had injuries to his upper body and it is suspected he was hacked with a panga,” said Moremi.
The neighbour said the farm owner called him to check on his house at the farm because the worker was not answering his phone.
When the neighbour got to the house, he noticed the door had been forced open and found the deceased inside.
Police had yet to trace the worker’s family.

No arrests has been made so far.
