Last week Tuesday, two men were arrested after they were found in possession of an unlicensed firearm at Extension 13.
Police were on routine patrol when they received information about two suspicious men allegedly in possession of a firearm. The information was followed up and the two suspects were spotted roaming the streets.
Searching them, police found an unlicensed firearm and both suspects were immediately arrested.
Moloto said another arrest was made last week when a man was found in possession of housebreaking implements.
“We will continue to remove bad elements from our communities and make Pretoria a safer place,” he said.
