
Gauteng MEC for community safety has condemned the killing of a Taxify driver in Sunnyside.
The body of the driver was found inside a burnt-out Taxify vehicle near the Unisa Sunnyside campus on Thursday evening.

Gauteng MEC for community safety Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane expressed her shock.
“I am disturbed and disgusted by this brutal murder of a Taxify cab driver,” she said on Friday.
“I condemn this killing with the strongest possible terms and I am hopeful that no stone will be left unturned within the criminal justice system to bring perpetrators of this callous crime to book.”
She urged members of the community who may have information about the killing to report it to the nearest police station.
Sunnyside police spokesperson Captain Daniel Mavimbela said a murder case was being investigated.
