A woman accused of pointing a firearm at a Sinoville mother and her under-age children has been released on R1 000 bail.
Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo said the 44-year-old woman, arrested at the weekend, appeared in court on Monday “charged with pointing a firearm”.
He said the two boys had taken their pit bull out for a walk in the neighbourhood when the woman approached them because according to her “they looked suspicious”.

He said the accused then allegedly took pictures of the boys which she later posted on social media to “warn the community”.
“The boys’ mother confronted the woman,” Masondo said adding that the woman had then allegedly pulled out the firearm.
He said neighbours had come to the family’s rescue while social media users had also urged the woman to take the post down.
“I didn’t understand why those two boys were ‘suspicious’. We also wanted the post to be removed because the boys were minors,” a Facebook user, known to Rekord as Mandy said.
Masondo said the woman was expected to appear in the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court again soon.
