Police are hunting for two men who robbed a cash-in-transit truck in Atteridgeville on Saturday.
It was the fifth such robbery in Pretoria this year.
The G4S security truck was robbed at gunpoint while collecting money from Atteridgeville Royal butchery, said police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo.

“The guard was walking towards the van after he had collected the money when the suspects approached him,” he said.
The two robbers took an undisclosed amount of money as well as the guard’s firearm and fled on foot. No shots were fired.
Masondo could not confirm if the two men were part of the hijacking gangs which have been terrorising Atteridgeville and nearby areas over the past year. But he said a case was opened.
Early this year several cases of cash-in-transit heists were reported.
In the first, a security guard was injured when a gang crashed their car into a cash truck in Soshanguve in an attempted robbery.
In another one robbers blew up a cash-in-transit truck on the N14 near Eeufees Road before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

In the second week of January, robbers forced a cash truck to stop in Hammanskraal and robbed the guards of their firearms and cash.
Last month, a group of robbers were involved in a daring cash-in-transit robbery on the N4 highway outside Pretoria.
Police have appealed to anyone with information on the latest incident to call crime stop 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
