Menlo Park man arrested for ‘stabbing friend’

The victim was stabbed in the back following a dispute.

A man was arrested following a stabbing incident in Menlo Park on Thursday afternoon.

Security firm CSI Armed Tactical Response spokesperson Dana Bloem said the incident happened around 13:30 in Anderson Street.

“(We) received a panic distress signal from our client. My reaction team responded swiftly and found the victim, who had been stabbed.”

Bloem said the client managed to identify the perpetrator, who was still nearby.

“We arrested the suspect and found a knife on him. We were assisted by Brooklyn police during the arrest.”

Best Care paramedics spokesperson Rufus Engelbrecht said the victim suffered minor injuries.

“There was a dispute between two friends, who are believed to be homeless guys. During the dispute, one allegedly stabbed another in the back.”

Engelbrecht said the victim was treated on scene and transported to hospital.
