A man was shot dead during an alleged house robbery in Pretoria Gardens, west of Pretoria on Thursday evening.
“He passed away on scene, prior to any treatment,” Best Care ambulance spokesperson Rufus Engelbrecht said.
Five people, including the deceased’s partner and two children, were in the house “locked up in a room”.

They were unharmed, said Engelbrecht.
“They were transported to hospital to be treated for shock,” he added.
Police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said: “The police are investigating a case of murder and house robbery.”

She said no arrest had yet been made.
