New method used by criminals in the east of Pretoria

“Was it not for my cat that woke us up around 4:30, they would have surely robbed us.”

Residents have been warned about a new tactic criminals are using to gain access to homes in the east of Pretoria.

This comes after a post in a Facebook group in which a resident from Faerie Glen told how criminals are now taking out door panels to gain access to homes.

The woman said that she fell victim early Friday morning.

“The criminals came in while we were sleeping and were busy for three hours,” the other resident wrote.

“They took everything in the front part of our house.”

The police could not confirm if they were aware of this new tactic at the time of going to press.
