Three more fast food outlets in the Pretoria CBD were robbed over the weekend.
This comes after a spate of fast food outlet robberies in the CBD this year.
Police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said the robbers were targeting fast food outlets at night.
“We urged fast food outlets that operate 24-hours to beef up their security.”

Selepe said the robbers operate in groups and were seen driving a Toyota Quantum and a Nissan minibus.
She said no injuries were reported in the three robberies that occurred.
“No arrests have been made but we busy investigating.”
Selepe gave the following safety tips to fast food operators:
– CCTV cameras are an important deterrent to crime.
– If possible, hire security personnel and make sure they are visible.
– Keep access to tills limited; use a protective (preferably bulletproof) glass screen and lockable doors to ensure that no one gains unauthorised access to tills.
– Make sure cash tills are positioned in such way that the person on the other side of the counter cannot access any money. There are various ways to do this, but the basic one is to keep tills away from the front of the store. Make sure that your employees are the only ones with access to tills.
