The Bronkhorstspruit man accused of raping a domestic worker and forcing her to perform sexual acts with dogs has applied for bail.
The man is facing 10 charges including of rape, kidnapping and sexual assault in the Bronkhorstspruit magistrate’s court.
This after he allegedly held the woman against her will at his parent’s home in Riamar Park on 23 October last year.
The man, who cannot be named due to the nature of the charges, told the court that he and the woman were in a relationship and had consensual sex. He also said his parents were aware of the “relationship”.

Investigating officer Shane van Rooyen, however, told the court the accused’s father said in his statement to the police he had no knowledge of the alleged relationship.
Van Rooyen said after the incident, the parents kept their distance from the man because they were afraid of him.
The woman was said to have been bruised on her feet where the accused had repeatedly struck her with a piece of wood.
She had also sustained bruises in her vagina and an open wound on her right thigh.
Van Rooyen said neighbours told the police they heard the woman crying and running around the premises.
She ran out naked after she managed to escape after spraying the accused in the face with an unidentified substance.
In November 2017, the man abandoned his first bail application after the local community took to the streets in support of the woman.
Last month his application for a mental evaluation at Weskoppies psychiatric hospital failed as psychiatrist Dr Masase Beke, who had assessed the man, told the court he showed no signs of mental illness but rather a mild intellectual disability.
The judgment on his second bail application would be delivered on Thursday.
