The man allegedly raped his family's domestic worker and forced her to perform sexual acts with his dogs.

The man accused of raping his family’s domestic worker and forcing her to perform sexual acts with his pets will hear whether he is eligible for bail.

The 45-year-old will appear before the Bronkhorstspruit magistrate’s court on Thursday morning where the court will hear final arguments on whether he should be granted bail.

On Monday he applied for bail after abandoning his first application in November following protests by members of the community.

During the application, he insisted that he and the woman were in a relationship and had enjoyed consensual sex.

The man allegedly held the woman against her will, raped her and forced her to among other things perform oral sex on his dogs.

He faces 10 charges including kidnapping, rape, and assault. The pets have since been taken away from him.
