UPDATE: Police appeal for help to trace two missing east women

The police are busy investigating the disappearance of two women from Mamelodi who went missing on the same day.

Police are investigating the mysterious disappearance of two Mamelodi women.

Nontombi Piyose (22) of Mamelodi East was last seen leaving her home with a friend for Denlyn shopping mall on Friday, while Mmamakgowa Eva Mogagabe (20) disappeared on the same day while on her way to apparently join a study group.

Police spokesperson Captain Michael Mbewe said Piyose was reported missing by her friend on behalf of her parents on Monday, 26 March at Mamelodi East police station.

According to information the police received she never returned from the shopping mall.

She was last seen wearing black leggings, fawn jersey and white sneakers.

“No additional information was provided, however, the police are investigating a case of a missing person,” said Mbewe.

Meanwhile, Mogagabe, who is a student at Unisa, was last seen on Friday around 17:30 reportedly going to a group study session.

She was last seen by her grandmother on the day wearing a black dress.

Her grandmother said she did not say where she was going.
